Cool What is Cowes?

I don't mean to be rude, but just out of curiosity, what or where is Cowes?

Cowes

Cowes Regatta -one of the oldest & more famous sailboat regattas (England).

‘Everyone should ‘do’ Cowes week at least once in their lifetime! Fast paced and great fun, it’s a real adrenalin rush of a week. The atmosphere is electric and the sailing fantastic - unmatched anywhere else’

Cowes Week offers some of the most exciting racing conditions on the compact Solent waters, which is as exhilarating to watch as it is to compete in. Cowes regatta extends over a magnificent 8 days and is not for the faint hearted! Serious racing is of course also accompanied by some serious socialising. Strong tides, erratic weather and 900 competitors, certainly make this a challenging event! Spinnaker training weekend is a must for this week! There is always one day when you wake, turn your suntanned face up to the grey skies and wonder 'are we really going to race in this?!!' The infamous Cowes beer tent comes alive straight after racing as the crews come ashore to relax and swap stories over a few post race drinks. The fun is non stop and the buzz is really exhilarating.
