Antique Sailor

Greetings. I'm new to this forum as of yesterday. Mostly just want to say "greetings" .
I'm actually a landlubber today but after taking an early retirement I lived aboard and cruised for 15 years. Learned to live on a shoestring so I could do so.
What to do when coming back to land? Why write a book about it all of course. Just published it a few months ago with very favorable response from readers.
That was a whole new learning experience.
Next is learning to utilize the forums and other blogs. I thought I was pretty computer literate for an old lady but the blogosphere is a whole world to explore. Not as much fun as exploring the three oceans I've explored but highly interesting.
Happy to respond to any questions. While my information about current entrance requirements is out of date I can certainly respond to inquiries about lots of other cruising questions; particularly regarding single handed cruising as 10 years of my cruising was single handed

re: my book

Aloha to you,
My book is available on the shelf at some locally owned bookstores as well as Amazon and Barnes and Noble on line. I'm struggling with the form to get it on the shelves in Barnes and Noble. It is most readily available on my web site, merrypublishing.
I read the rules but don't thinnk I remember them all but apparantly I'm not supposed to write the whole address out. Also seems to be true for my blog, antiquesailor, which is a Blogger blog. Now I guess it did get out to some links as I see it has been pinged. Don't quite understand that but slowly catching on.
I think I gave the entire name of the book on my previous post but THE MIGHTY MERRY TOO gets it. I can of course provide the ISBN as well.
Guess that's a pretty complete answer.

Aloha again Mary,
Dana is a pretty little bluewater capable pocket cruiser which I have a great respect for. I've seen many of them make it to the islands with no problems at all.
Kind Regards,
JohnL

Welcome aboard "Mary the antique sailor"!

It's good to have someone of your experience aboard. You can put your site/blog in your signature. It's just outright advertising that gets touchy.

It sounds like you have lots of sea time. We would be happy to hear about your ventures.............................._/)

Welcome "Mary the antique sailor", I will be on the lookout for your book. I am intrigued about the title "Antique Sailor", because some individuals frequenting this site can be classified as antique. In Florida, a car is classified as an antique after 25 years. So, I guess Floridians are antiques when they hit thhe age of 25. Welcome again,

John

Hi Mary

Mary, I met you in Ponape and again in Kota Kinabalu, way back in 95/96. I was on the S/V Hooligan. We traded books a time or two.
