Re: Antenna's

I have installed a few on OP's boats and all seem to be satisfied with them. We have had good contact with one of the boat in Honduras while we were in the Chesapeake Bay. Chuck

Re: Antenna's

There are a few folks on sbo.com who have installed and used them of you want to try there. It's a simple antenna you can easily construct yourself if you have the desire.

Re: Antenna's

I had one on my boat until last year. Formerly, I had an SSB and a HAM radios with separate antennas on two backstays. When I combined the radios into one new unit, I removed the GAM antenna as it did not perform up to the standard of the insulated backstay. It was OK but not as good as a simple long wire.
