Another Sailor Is Born

Hi fellow sailors

I have just joined this forum as next year my husband and I head off on our first offshore sailing trip, six months in the South Pacific. My husband spends hours on this forum and is always reading me amazing stories and tips from members so thought it was about time I took a look for myself.

I'm brand new to sailing, my first sailing trip was sailing our yacht home to Wellington from Nelson (across New Zealand's notorious Cook Strait). We live on board and are busy learning the ropes as they say and preparing our yacht for offshore adventures. We've been living on board for a year now and I am totally sold on the sailing lifestyle - even if we are berthed in the city most of the time at the moment.

Looking forward to sharing experiences and learning from everyone on here. Right, time to dive into the forums and start my education!
