pirate Another Newbie Sailor

Ahoy all - from another newbie! I initially saw this discussion board referenced on the Cruising World Bulletin Board. I didn't like it the first time I visited because it was too hard to follow the threads. But lo & behold, customer service is alive & well on the Cruiser's Forum because now I notice there's a new link to directly access all the new posts! WOW!

So I have to join! David & I sail several different boats. We're small one design dinghy racers (Y Flyer, an 18' inland lake scow)for the past I can't remember how many years & we bought a cruising boat, a Passport 37 in the spring of 2001. So now we race in the summers -- regatta this weekend in SW Ohio -- and we spend about 50 days a year on Winterlude, our Passport 37 on Charlotte Harbor on the Florida West Coast. We sailed Winterlude from Annapolis to Florida in the Fall of 2001 & we just returned from our first full month on Winterlude cruising the Florida Keys.

Fair winds & THANKS for listening!

pirate Welcome

I'm happy you chose to try us out one more time, Jan.

We try to make the site just like the members want it, as you can see in this forum Suggestions, Feedback & Site Support, but the "View New Posts" has actually been there from the start.

Well, now it's up to all our members to make this site great by taking part in discussions and posting images. We'll be turning 200 members today after beeing online for just 2.5 months.

Good to see a few CW's here

Cruising World's site is a bit too antangonistic for me.
