another new guy on the forum

Since I know a few of my clients are here I thought I'd join up.
I run a small sail company and have had several boats ranging in size from 10 to 39 feet. My wife and I used to live aboard and we've been through many boat projects. Currently in the process of buying a Ranger 33 for some coastal cruising.

I enjoy discussing systems, plumbing, electrical, sanitation, refinishing, structural work, ground tackle, and of course sails.

I've found if you ask 10 different sailmakers you might get 10 different opinions. I do mostly cruising sails and take a lot of pride in participarting in some of my client's voyaging accomplishments. My focus is on ease of handling, longevity, practicality, and value. When I hear that someone has over 20,000 miles on the sail and it's still serviceable I know I've done my job.

Aloha Island,
20K miles? Wow! Ever done any work for a Cascade 42? I've got a real live question. At what frequency do you place sail slides up the luff? I've got a 43 foot luff and am using stainless slides on a 7/8" stainless track.
Regards, JohnL
P. S. You may have noticed my misspelled regards before. Just consider it Rigors.
