Another Howdy from Houston!

I have been a member of this forum for about a year now and finally decided to say hello. Thus far I have found this forum to be very informative for the most part. A bit opinionated on occasion, but informative nonetheless.

Like many before, our plans are to buy a boat and sail off into the sunset for our retirement. We have looked at a number of options, but I can already tell that my wife strongly prefers a multihull. In fact, this past weekend we toured a new Lagoon 450 as well as a new 50 foot monohull, and I could tell right away that our options have already been somewhat limited.

Currently, I own a fairly successful business that caters to the oil and gas industry. Business is down at the moment, but it will come back, as it always does. So a few more years, then I'll find someone to acquire it at a fair price and then off we go.

In the mean time, we will continue our search and hopefully will have the opportunity to cross paths with some of those who cruise the gulf coast.
