Another Dreamer

Greetings !
Following the kind recommendations of the forum moderators, I'm presenting myself to you, dear fellows. I'm only sorry I didn't think of it by myself in the first place. I was just too eager to read you.
I'm thinking about retiring from my actual job, buying a boat and have another living on the water.
I've sailed merchant ships for some years at the beginning of my career, but changed jobs to live on land just before we had our first child.
I'm ready now to go back and I'm here to learn from the experiences you so generously share (which is most natural, among salors). So, from 1.5 to 2" steel thick tanker hulls I'l adopt a plastic cocoon to live with in harmony, joining the universal community of "those who take the sea".
