Annapolis Boat Show
Hi everyone. I want to go to the boat show, but thursday is the only day i can get away. The website says thursday is for vip/ trade people and i know the price is higher. Can a public person go that day?

Re: Annapolis Boat Show
You bet. In fact you might find the crowds are less. I'd find it hard to believe any vendor wouldn't still love to have you come by and talk to them. I've done a lot of shows and the first day is supposed to be for trade people. Personally I think it's a good excuse for the show folks to charge a little more the first day.

Yes. VIP just means you pay twice as much as everyone else.

Re: Annapolis Boat Show
I recommend Thursday...It is less crowded. Yes, it is a way for them to charge more but I am willing to pay more for a smaller crowd.

Re: Annapolis Boat Show
We almost always can find a vendor who is selling at the shows and will offer comps if given the opportunity...
I HATE paying to go somewhere I will be BUYING things...

Sounds just like my Dad.
All my life everywhere we ever went that charged to get in he would make the same fuss everytime at the ticket booth. "Your gonna charge ME to buy your stuff?"
He was right of course.

Re: Annapolis Boat Show
We have been to the show on Thursday more than once and I agree with the previous posters- smaller crowd and better overall experience. Just purchased our tickets online and the ticket booth doesn't care as long as you've paid for the correct day.

Re: Annapolis Boat Show
We went to the Miami boat show last winter on VIP day and found many vendors were still setting up their displays and some weren't even open. It was a waste of the inflated price. We will never do that again.

Everyone's experience differs. Since Thursday shifted from trade day to VIP day I've found the crowds to indeed be smaller than the rest of the weekend but the attendees to be more likely to be rude and/or feel entitled.
Friday, Sunday, and Monday are my choices now.

Hi everyone. Thanks for your input. I went yesterday and it was great. I ate two beef sandwiches.

Hey Tellie -
Were you at the Show? I looked for you at the booths featuring Spectra equipment but didn't see any familiar name tags. Oh well.
