And Another....

I am really glad I found this site!!
Me: 47, divorced, male. Live outside the Calif. Bay Area.
Two kids, one in college and provided for, one enlisted in the Marines and goes to boot after highschool graduation in June this year.
All of a sudden my obligations and responsibilites have vanished.
Problem: I've caught the dreaded sailing bug. Nowadays it is all I think about. I've sold the horses, the Harley and now in the process of selling my house.
My dream: To sail solo where ever I want when I want.
I have not reached the stepping off point yet but I can see the cliff.
This is all extremely exciting yet scary as hell!

I know how you feel. I would say I'm about 2 years ahead of you. We are hoping to leave this summer and see what living is like. My job is gone, the house is sold, and the boat is paid for. We are out of here. Good luck!
