Aloha, Y'all

Hello Cruisers,

Why does this feel like an introduction at a 12-step program?

My name is Jeff, and I'm a Tartan 30C owner, and it's been 14 days since my last sail.

I'll be trying to learn enough to ask smart questions about OpenCPN, dinghy davits, analyzing weather windows, mounting a radar dome and integrating with system, how/when to use a sea anchor (vs. a drogue?), and how beefy a feller is too beefy for hauling oneself aloft in a bosun's chair.

Recently, I made a sucky video about my first year owning a sailboat. I tried to edit the video to make it less sucky...but, apparently, you have to reconnect all three thumb-drives and the Kodak Playsport vidcam in exactly the same arrangement (I suppose) to be able to fix it. The easier solution would be to start over, so sucky it shall remain.

I don't know if there's a way to embed a published video, so a link shall have to suffice.

I hope to share some NC corn-squeezins with all some of you.

Skipr, boatman, and HappyMdR,

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm putting you on the list for some white likker.

Re: Aloha, Y'all

Thanks. I should be somewhere around Oriental in May or June getting ready to crew up to the St. Lawrence. Would like to taste some "white likker." Gettin' tired of Mai Tais.

My name is John and I've been off my boat for 12 hours.

There's quite a few Mason jars floating around MS too... I think being the last state to repeal prohibition in (wait for it.....) 1966! has something to do with it! It is said that MS was the wettest dry state in the union... Hell.... Our county recently became (MUCH TO MY DELIGHT) "wet" , JUST 6 months ago.... That being said.... it is common knowledge that NC has the finest likker available.... I would be privileged to sample some!

John... I almost fainted from the Mai Tai line.... Although... I am a confirmed bourbon man 99.9999 percent of the time...

(note to self: share that recipe!)

With this weather, Flem can skip the marketing department and simply focus on a distribution network....

Have you tried the Kentucky Likker, Evan Williams Honey Reserve? I'm becoming a convert to Likker from Kentucky. Anything from Bourbon County.

I have.... Not too shabby! Have a bit of JD honey here...

I scoffed, ridiculed, and denounced the honey as preposterous before I tried a sip .... Once in a while option for sure....

Regularly stock JD - green, black, gentleman's, single first, and.... a 1917 gold medal bottle.... I like options....

Also a fan of others... Maker's being top of the list....

I don't know if they even make it anymore, it was one of the smoothest whiskies I ever lapped a lip over, make you throw rocks at JD.

Thanks, captain58.

HappyMdR, I like the way you think.

I had a feeling I'd like the company here.
