Aloha and welcome aboard!
Good to have you here. Our Yacht Club offers free sailing intro courses to anyone who shows up on the first Sunday of each month. It doesn't teach you much but it gets you introduced to a lot of like minded people and lets you know whether or not you like sailing.
There has to be other clubs that do that sort of thing somewhere near you.
