Ahoy Ye Scurvy Dogs

I just wanted to take a minute to say hello to everyone. I've been reading the boards here for some time and decided to make it offical and sign aboard.

I am currently getting my boat ready for a cruise from California down along Central America, through the canal and then island hopping up through the Caribbean to the east coast. If all goes well I'll be cruising out of here in September.

I look forward to sharing my experiences as I go and look forward to hearing from other cruisers and want to be cruisers. I've all ready gleaned a wealth of knowledge from this site and hope I'll have something to add that may help someone else looking to set themselves free.

I'm also looking forward to meeting up with others from this site as I go. So feel free to contact me while I still have a reliable connection to the internet.

And please do visit and book mark my site at S/V Knight Hawk Home

Welcome, Capn . . .

. . . glad you're here!

That's a big journey you have planned for yourself, but at least you're going in the right direction. I've known others who did it the other way, and two of them refused to ever go to sea again.

Again, welcome. And I can't help wondering if you have more in common with Captain Ron than (almost) the same name.

Aloha Captain Roy,
Welcome aboard!! I know a few on this forum that are just about to make the same trip. Hope they chime in and introduce themselves.
Kind Regards,

Thanks All,

I had to push out my departure date a year so I'm chomping at the bit to get going. Still have a few projects to finish and the time is flying by now. Sptember will be here in the blink of an eye and I'll be wondering how I ran out of time. But heck, "lets kick the tires and light the fires. If any things going to happen, it'll happen out there boss".
