Smile Ahoy from Caribbean Cruiser -- New to Cruiser's Forum

Just a quick "Ahoy" as a newbie to the forum.

We're currently cruising the Caribbean. Well, at the moment we're stuck in St. Thomas awaiting the rebuild of our fuel injection pressure pump. If that's the culprit, we'll be on our way NW, first to the Spanish Virgins, Puerto Rico, Turks and Caicos, Bahamas then Florida to replenish our cruising kitty over hurricane season.

Our boat is a 1977 Pearson 365 ketch, 36.5 feet, which we bought in St. Lucia and came aboard in September 2012.

My husband's the sailor, I'm learning. I blog about our experiences, if anyone's interested, it's www.GalleyWenchTales.com.

Thanks for making this forum a great place to connect and learn!

Thanks Caribsurf, GordMay and CelestialSailor!

Caribsurf -- updated the blog entry since you saw it. Internet was playing hide & seek. Anyhow, you'll like the update.

Smooth sailing and good times wherever the wind takes you!

Welcome to CF Dana .

Pancakes and mimosas sound like a good way to cope with rain (as long as the mimosas aren't at risk of being diluted )

Smile Re: Ahoy from Caribbean Cruiser -- New to Cruiser's Forum

Thanks Cheechako, Sailtexas, Seaworthy Lass, sailcruiser and boatman61.

After USPS Priority Mail lost our broken fuel injector pump, someone from the Pearson Cruiser's Forum came to our rescue. He's a former Pearson owner who kept the original engine and sent us the part!

Still not sure where ours is or when it will turn up.

Meanwhile, fingers crossed that replacing it with the rebuild does the trick.

If so, we're off to the Spanish Virgins tomorrow, at long last!

We've managed to have some fun in the interim. Here's a taste of a few things we did (with another post or two on the way)
movies on the beach
free jazz concert
makin' lemonade -- getting published

Now that we'll only be able to spend a 1-2 days in the Spanish Virgins, where in Culebra & Culebrita would you most likely go? WE'll also spend a day in San Juan Puerto Rico. Then we have to skedaddle to pick up my friend in the Abacos in early May.
