Ahoy!

Hello from the 1000 Islands area of Ontario, where my family and I sail a 1971 C&C Corvette.

This looks like a good forum. Glad to have found it.

Greetings

I think it's fun too. A way to have a look all over the world of sailing. I guess its the same thing only different. We are situated in the most opposite parts of the world possible.

Greetings from the tropics!

My favourite forums are

My favourite forums are ones that have lots of active threads, this gives me a reason to keep coming back again and again. I'm very active in model railroad forums and photography forums and the more active the better. The reason I like this forum is that it has many active topics on the go.

The best advise I can give you is to move out here to Vancouver with your boat, you double or triple the sailing you are doing. Once you get used to sailing in the off season, you'll have many anchorages to yourself, which normally would be crowded in the summer.

Bob,
I think there ought to be a rule about not upsetting the rest of the forum by showing that you are on a 40ft boat in the whitsunday islands.

Its miserable enough here at the moment (dark by 1600, and damp and cold <10 deg C) without that additional stress loading!
