Greetings fellow cruisers. I am on the hard in oriental, N.C. For maintenance to my 42 foot valiant, recently built to my desires for ocean voyaging. I will weigh anchor mid-november for parts south--probably passing through the bahamas and on to central america. I am a member of ssca, have taken all the courses, done charters, am a veteran of caribbean 1500 rallies--crewing for others and skipper of my own boat in 2010. Sailed the east coast these last two summers and did the virgins and bahamas the last two winters. Now want to move on to new territories. I have been single-handing but desire more social contact than chance encounters, thus this post. Would really like to find a woman with whom to share the experience, on a short run, or long term, but also would like to meet/correspond with others heading for the northwest caribbean this season.
