A little Shout Out from Singapore

Hi all,
Greetings from Singapore! Fairwinds to all the sailors and sailorettes in this forum!

I came across whis neat forum while reseaching on boat ownership and the feasibility of living on one.

About myself:
I picked up sailing about 17 years ago when i entered college: ACJC. I was the second batch of sailors to graduate. Since then, i tried to keep up the interest in sailing by joining the uni sailing club NTUYC when pursuing my uni.
I picked up a power boat driving license, and eventually signed up for a race management course, which led me to volunteer for the inaugurral youth olympics when Singapore hosted. I have been volunteering at the National Sailing Centre since. While yachting is expensive in Singapore, I have not given up on sailing or on owning my own boat one day.
cheers!
J

Good for you There are always people at Changi Sailing Club looking for crew... I'd ask myself, but my boat isn't quite floating yet... That's a long story

There's a boat called "Jill" at Changi sailing club... It's the right colour to be a crabber, but I'm not sure...

Re: A little Shout Out from Singapore

Hi guys,
I found a nice little boat from Glen L:
Amigo trailerable cruising sailboat
Do you know of any boat yards nearby that can possibly construct a boat from the plans?
cheers

Re: A little Shout Out from Singapore

contact xsp. Xtreme Sailing Products

They have a factory over in Batam that builds boats... They've made stuff from plans before.

No affiliation, other than that they're re-doing my boat at Changi at the moment.

Re: A little Shout Out from Singapore

Hi All,
Been out of action for awhile...
Check this link : Tattoo Yachts
Any of you seen these around? I saw their web page, they had a dealership in Malaysia. I had emailed the guy, but no reply.
Looks like an improved Macgregor 26m.
Cheers
