You Would Think this Is Hurricane Territory, but No . . . it's Just Lake Erie

the entire dock was covered in debri, my sailboat is the red one, i saved the boat with the blue cover from most likely sharing the same fate as the trojan as it had both bow lines snapped.

scotti and his fallen soldier lol (outboard motor covered in the flag) his motor came up on the dock and chipped the dock away. I saw it and quickly tightened his lines before catastrophic damage occured.

this was 2 boats down from me i was terrified it would break loose and then push my neighbor into me and i would be forced to motor out into the storm. I bet you wouldnt believe there was a 30foot chris craft right next to this one at the beginning of the season and it sunk (not from storm but from exhaust line not hooked up and new owner didnt know).

WOW.

The only difference between some storms and hurricanes (in practical terms) is duration. Squalls and isolated storms won't go on for 12 - 18 hours.
