Winter Raging - Let's Do it !

So the boat is put away for the season. This makes me all angry inside and my rage level is building. I bet I'm not alone in this and there are a lots of us with boat issue rages they would just love to share.

Since we all like to complain to start with; maybe we need a need a forum to do this in (boat related of course). Afterall we all know that misery loves company. In the meantime maybe we should just use the word "rage" in the thread title for when you want to do a rage.

I'm looking forward to raging and getting my post count up to 3000 to increase the high quality posts that everyone expects of me

Well, its another sunny morning here. I guess some sunscreen and cold beers would go well this afternoon out on the Intracoastal. Supposed to be 8-16 SW blowing today. Bring some cold ones, Don. Sounds like you're getting wound up too tight there.

Poor baby Don, maybe this'll make you feel better. Picture taken in the middle of winter.

What does that mean? I'm not familiar with the concept. Down here winter means there is less daylight for sailing but more comfortable temperatures.

Looks cold!!! White stuff all over the ground and people having to wear their shirts! Looking around at the snow sleds wondering how to get them to the top of the hill again.

Notice the wolverine net on the front of the first snow sled, they came prepared for hunting. I am still trying to find their skinning knives.....

Re: Winter Raging - Let's Do it !

Yesterday a co-worker and I were talking about sailing on the Chesapeake Bay year round. We are both from Michigan where taking your boat out in winter means saving it from being crushed in ice. Here there is nothing like that. She used to sail year round, that is until Hurricane Isabel deep sixed her boat.
Earlier this week I was talking to a marina owner and got the distinct impression he did not think much of sailing year round; put the boats on the hard for the winter. On the hard 4 to 6 months seems silly. The weather is rarely nasty and cold; and if it does have some thick whiteish rain in it, that only lasts for a few days too.
