The above categories weren't dominant regional industries like coal, and also their decline was very gradual, meaning there was plenty of time to wind down slowly and retool for other markets.

Record players, LP pressing, open reel analog tape, and even real books are currently making a small comeback, btw.

Fix the MMGW issue and what will all those Climate Scientists do?

The Environmental Industrial Complex is alive and well, how many more people will it kill for profit?

Even in the most fawning of Trump biographies, nowhere is the inheritance pegged as low as $2M. Try at least 20x to 40x that. More reliable sources say it was in the range of $200 million.

Trump has regularly misreported his net worth. But even he doesn't claim $10B.. Edit - OMG, he does. But it's unverified. Bloomberg sez $2.9 B.

Ya gotta love a guy who says his name alone is worth $3.3 B (also in the Bloomberg link). I've decided my name is worth ... a 34ft Hanse, new or slightly used. PM me.

Geez I hope your post was just the meds talking. Get well soon.
Thanks for the well wishes. its great to be floating while on land. Joke.

The Bloomberg story is wrong. Also yes Trump makes a fortune from his trademark name. So do people like Chanel etc. I'm too spaced out to go on but no hard feelings. I know you mean well. You do seriously care about this stuff. All I will ask that you please take a step back and see if there is even a glimmer of truth from the other side. For me I am a great advocate for a better cleaner environment. I just don't swallow the Global Warming stuff.

Have a good night and merry Xmas.

I went for a walk this morning. It's just about t-shirt weather here and flies were out. Winter's gonna be a huge shock when it finally hits. I'm BBQing a steak for New Years, regardless.

Best wishes to you and to all sailors landlocked or otherwise.

y'know. if a troll were to put on a red Santa hat, and make a nice smile for a change, I bet he'd look like a cute lil Santa's elf.

Do you have a red hat around?

I'm a bit bummed out. The annual MMGW Christmas Soshulist Solstice Worker's orgy has been cancelled for the third year in a row. Can't find a virgin libertarian to sacrifice (damn you Dagny Taggart).

Merry Christmas Rich, and Peace to all. Maybe reflect on what people of good will could accomplish if they are willing to work together?
