Jack you obviously didn't actually read the page you linked to or my quote of that page. The temperature was for global not just the northern hemisphere . ( think global not local)

You seem to have misinterpreted my post.

The calculation was presented in the manner it was (assuming uniform heating) so the layman could get a better understanding of the insignificance of the energy of those fictional a-weapons if evenly distributed in the oceans.

And...

Way to go!!! Your inference that if I really do have the experience I noted in my post, then I must be deliberately lying to some undefined set of CF skeptic groupies borders on hilarious. It should keep your bonnie feedies with the warmist crowd up to date. So...you got that going for you.

I rely on the scientists for the explanation.

I do have a sense of ocean currents. That is probably a very large factor.
So...you're just like Lake-Effect, but in bigger waters? And more certs? :big grin:

I was just wondering if you understood the explanations. I guess not.

That's kinda like believing in a Creator, isn't it? A bit like religion...you just gotta believe.

Someone made that point earlier in this thread and was belittled for it. Must have some validity after all.

You are beginning to sound like the Inquisitor with Galileo, whom I will paraphrase: 'it still warms"

...that perhaps would be a good analogy...if you sounded (and had knowledge) like Galileo.

The part you seem to have missed or glossed over is ; The planet overall ( the first three words)

Oh I read it. I also understand the difference between statistical noise and statistical trends.

Did you read the first sentence you posted?

The planet overall is around 3 C cooler during the northern hemisphere winter than during its summer. So even though February was 1.35 C warmer than the 1951 to 1980 average for February according to the NASA GISS record, the planet was still cooler overall in February than it was during the previous July
More like 3.6. IOW, February 2016 was almost certainly colder that any May, June, July, August or September in the last 10,000 years (including the years of the Little Ice Age).

Re: Why Climate Change Won't Matter in 20 Years

Yes jack I did after all I typed it.
Here is what I read and I'm paraphrasing .
The planet was 3c cooler this past February than it was last July .
That's the planet not the northern half of it.
So I seem to be reading global cooling notwarming

That is the second sentence. Now go read the first.

Nothing. I was in Cape Town in September. Calgary was warmer.

Which obviously means that it is also 3C cooler in the southern hemisphere summer than during its winter.
