Well there's an excellent "Crew available" forum here on CF - good place to start.

Local sailing club (near where you live in Wales)

Or further afield - do what Atoll said - post on the ARC rally site. A young female who can cook and sail is a very welcome addition to most boats.

Don't know if you'll find love via these, but you'll end up going sailing.

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"

Nah - not so much thread drift.

Lucy - Ærø is pretty small - won't find much in the way of love adventures there - but the rest of the journey sounds like there might be opportunities..............

Well Lucy as a certified "old fart" I can dispense wisdom (HAHAHAHAHAHA).

You can rearely find love - love has to find you. However, you can put yourself in the way of adventure or "friendships" (as boatie put it) until love happens to find you (also said in the best possible taste).

Lot's of great parties both before and after the ARC- You can find all the friendship and sailing you want - love? who knows?

good luck

Yeah I have found this of sailors ... Many don't actually care what they eat (cup a soups!!) I wouldn't tolerate such a lax approach to food ... If someone was to invite me to cook in their galley.

Hmm ... Food is my life .. So that's a tough question.. But for me I like to eat med style all fresh ..!Fish ... Salads ... Pastas cured meats ...nice bread . Just throw it all on the table ... Accompanied with a couple of bottles of crisp white and good company .

As a side note .. My business specialises in traditional charcoal hog roasts... Hard to recreate on a boat

Oh man... a girl after my own heart... you JUST missed hog festival season here.... "Hog Wild" 2 weeks ago in town and "Porkapalooza" last weekend!

Lucy, men are dogs. We all know it. And sailing men have always been the scurviest, most flea-infested men alive, with hooks and peg legs and such.

Could you find love with a very handsome blue crab? A swash-buckling hunk of a crab who could sail right up to your little island and carry you away to your sailing and romantic dreams? [Cue romantic music...] Full disclosure: I'm not this handsome all year, it's a seasonal thing. This is my French blue phase for Spring, when love is in the air (and water).
