Where Are You Under the Moon, Tonight ?

As I type this I can look up out our front windows and see a brilliant 7/8 full moon...Seeing it I pondered where everyone else was at, Gazing up at the same Moon as I am.

Im sitting on a Hunter Green leather couch in a pair of carhartt pants and a tee shirt with my company logo on it..I haven't showered yet from a hard days work in the dust and dirt and am drinking a bear I have never had before...8.1 % by the way..and enjoying a room void of any other voices at the moment...the loudest noise is the fan on my lap top....OH wait the refrigerator just kicked on...its a toss up..

So where are you.... currently looking at the same moon that I am looking at ?

Over the past couple days and nights, I was up on the Sacramento and San Joaquin rivers doing water sampling. The full moon was really nice reflecting off the water and lighting up the surrounding levees. The hot weather during the day made the temperatures at night just perfect.

Just came from a friends boat, and from there work, a 10 hr shift at the hospital. Now I am in my vberth gettin ready for bed (what I am wearing is non of your bees wax ). Boat rocking gently, got a dvd in (the Big bang theory season 1), the moon peering down at me through the hatch.
Cheers,
Erika

I didn't take any on this cruise. I don't know if anyone wants pictures of scientists doing their work aboard a stink pot. It's not really cruiser related.

Moon

Stillraining if you get any pictures of Ocean Girl's moon could you forward them to me?
I see a bright one here in Malaysia but I got a feeling it's not the same moon.
Not that's theres anything wrong with that.

It's been a marvelous moon and a terrific summer here in PNW. I've been seeing it rise through the trees by our house on Gabriola the last few nights. After living aboard the last year the house seems awfully big but I've been working on getting my studio set up and boxes unpacked. The sea cat misses the coziness of the boat to so we're going down to her tomorrow and spend a couple days on the water - much better view of the moon and I've a sail to patch and a water maker to begin installing and odds and ends of things to do. Even though I'm on a fairly small island I miss the sea when I'm at the house. Seeing it in the distance doesn't do it.

Caught this shot in my backyard a couple of days ago:

Were do yous keep this heat?

We're aground as landlubbers in Sydney, waiting for the Gale and Strong Wind warnings to end.

Danielle is going by us, 200 miles to the East. Must be a pretty tight package, as we still had (have) clear skies and a moon last night.
In fact, went down on our dock and watched the glow worms perform their little dance on the surface.

We are in Brisbane Australia and just finished dinner. It's not warm at all right now but the winter is nearly over. Sitting in our H28 and drinking Bacardi/Cola. Tomorrow we do some more sailing around Moreton Bay with some friends after a pancake breakfast.
Life is good.

We just got back from dinner at one of the many outside vendors next to the pier in Krabi Town (Southern Thailand). Total cost was about US $3, including a Chang beer. Now back at the house which is 10-12km outside of town and semi-rural. Property is on 12 rai (about 5 acres) surrounded by limestone karsts, jungle and rubber and palm plantations. All I hear are lots of frogs and other jungle stuff. We start packing tomorrow to leave for the US and the boat which will be home until the first of the year.

We were admiring the moon last night, too. We got underway yesterday after work, but couldn't decide whether to head to Poulsbo or Hope Is. Hmm...there was a nice NW wind blowing 15kts...we could either head right into it the whole way, or have it on our quarter. We headed to Pousbo. :P The sun set as we passed Possession Point, and about 45 minutes later a big orange moon slowly rose over Edmonds, with a few wispy clouds slightly wrapped around it. It was a great Halloween moon! Later as it rose, it brightened up the cockpit for our transit through Agate Pass. We got to Poulsbo a little before 11 pm, with a nice trail of bioluminescence following from our stern. It was a great night sail!
