Re: What to Buy at Amazon ?

w651, I'm certain sure the other cruising guys n gals use solar power.
I use mine through an inverter to run the whole boats electrics when we get away from the madding crowd. Sure beats being stuck in a marina.

Ahoy Ex, I got a kindle for Christmas from the Admiral, and it is the best thing when at anchor, which is 98% of the time. An amazing electronic gadget.
Also the gopro camera, absolutely fantastic!
Keith.

Gopro camera sounds intriguing. I read books on the iPad so covered there. I am sure you have discoverred the guggenheim collection. Scads of stuff to read. All classic, all free. Very cool.

I have had a lucky few months. I was given a kindle as a gift. Still in the box. I have regifting person in mind.

And to top it all off I just got another $250 amazon credit so I am rethinking the list now that the budget is $750.

Another guy here just gave me $500 worth of International Paint credits he won in a lucky draw and can't use. Relax Lah's gonna be getting her topsides done this summer.

It's embarrasing how lucky I have been the last few months. I feel some bad mojo building. Maybe giving the Kindle to someone will attract some positive karma...

Invicta Pro Diver, automatic. I've got the two tone with blue face. Five years and no problems. Looks better than my stainless Rolex Submariner for 1/50th of the replacement cost. I never take off in the water. I bought the quartz woman's two tone model for my wife. Invicta has a great reputation.

Ahoy Ex, can you please point me at the Guggenheim collection, not aware of it?
Thanks from Keith.

Oh man, I love Amazon -- point, click, ship to Guate. I even had one of their execs as a charter guest a few years ago.

Here's some of my past sailing related purchases/wish list items:

- Lots of books for my Kindle (which of course I purchased on Amazon)
- MP3 music...they have some great stuff like Muddy Waters "The Original Plantation Recordings"
- J-B Weld 8277 Water Weld (underwater cure epoxy)
- Rescue Tape 1 X 12ft Mclf Fusing Silicone Repair Tape Clear - Rescue Tape RP2567
- Stainless Steel Lock Nut, 5/16"-18 (Pack of 100) ... and lots of other stainless bits and pieces....great nut/bolt finder search tool.
- SAE AMERICAN AND METRIC NUT NUTS BOLT BOLTS THREAD PITCH SIZE AND GAUGE VERY USEFUL
- Compass Hybrid Digital to Analog Barometer
-
Sheffield Tools 58780 Hook And Pick Set, 4 Piece
- Ram Mount with 1.5in Balls B Length Arms
- Cruising Ports: the Central American Route 6.5
-Thermos Nissan 34-Ounce Vacuum Insulated Stainless-Steel Gourmet Coffee Press (great product!)

And that's just some of the sailing stuff...great source for beer brewing goodies too!

Enjoy!

$750.- is close for one of these:
