That is it! We don't need a dissertation. Pragmatism. Nautical. Target! Ceasefire!

...a little Flamenco ditty playing in the background...

I prefer this: Hawaii : Hawaiian Music Radio - Listen to Hawaiian Music online. It's free.

Re: What Sort Of Nails Are Best?

It should be mentioned that the one time I was placed on the bow to handle the spinnaker / pole, it did not end well.. But that was ages ago. Odd I still avoid spinnakers to this day.

Eye splices in double braid is easy with nails btw...

Imagine the conversations taking place in your boating days with your wife trying to maintain these...

(no, it's not my wife !)

Re: What Sort Of Nails Are Best?

This has been an interesting thread. Many familiar faces and some less so, like me, chimed in with all manner of interpretation and advice. A little bit of fun, and not too much angst, was had. Some may have learned things they did not know they wanted to know No expertise was needed to play, and nobody got chastised for their input. Not too shabby, methinks!

Nothing personal
You're welcome. And no it's about FINGER nails, not nails. No wares peddling here. Need to know about hair length? Just short enough to stay out of the genoa winches, haha. I'm in Central Texas, also, just not aground, YET. Still some water left in Travis, but, not enough for me to get Seraph out and to the ocean.

Re: What Sort Of Nails Are Best?

RTB:

Thanks for understanding the humor cloaked in my response to your screwy reply

As for hair, the Admiral has decided to go close-cropped versus long and curly. I'm still sporting the flat-top with skin on the sides from my Army daze. It is not really 'skin', but more like velcro on the sides. I expect that will be an asset when the wind kicks up. The velcro hair will help keep my cool sailor hat from being blown into the drink. Genoan Wenches, wow, I hadn't thought of that. Other wenches I've met have not been put off by my sharp military visage. The Admiral certainly has not complained.

Central Texas Sailors!! Sounds like the Jamaican Bobsled Team
