We sold our house in June 2008, moved onto the boat that day. We left in Nov 2008 and traveled south ICW took our sweet time and arrived in Jacksonville in April 2009. We are still on the boat and will leave for the Bahamas in Oct 2009....Full Time Cruisers.

...nor leave out the "eventually gonna be's". I think that category would include a lot of people.

Been actively sailing (at least twice weekly during the season) for 10 years. Chartering as much as the budget will allow, reading and learning as much as possible. Edging closer to purchasing the cruising boat and looking for some real offshore experience. Would love to check "active cruiser" however we aren't there quite yet.

You are missing a category for racing.

I race at home on Tuesday nights. I live on a 1000 acre lake where we race scows. My racing is on a 20' C scow. I cruise on lake michigan with my Baba 40 which in the off seasons I am preparing for a spin around this planet.

I selected Costal Cruiser, but at the same time we are in the process of refitting the boat for cruising. Just not this year.

For those of us who still are working a job we fall into more of a "weekends" thing. Which could mean day sails or costral cruising
