the most beautiful ships in the world werethe clipper ships--flying cloud and her sisters---awesome!! next come the vagabonds and other garden design clippers--the norwegian sailing rescue ship reminds a lot of colin archers other hull design, westsail 32--but i prefer the graceful lines of the clippers and formosa/vagabond/ct/hardin, hudson-force 50, and the similar designs...very graceful and almost as elegant as gaff rigged schooners-----

Sorry, no electronic photos but the most beatiful lines I have ever seen were a 30 foot Nova Scotia fishing schooner my grandfather owned. Think small 'Bluenose"....

It's hard to say. While I'm in love with my own boat, as every owner should be, I also have a wandering eye. I do favor classic lines over euro-styled plastic, although I have learned to appreciate the asthetics of the latter in recent years.

In the possibly affordable-in-my-lifetime category, I think the new Valiant 42s are wonderful inside and out. They have a classic beauty without being overstated.
