Watching The Space Station

Satellite orbits came up somewhere else, thought I might share something we really enjoyed with some neighbors on the dock the other night, watching the International Space Station fly overhead.

There are different websites and apps available, I link below to a couple including the free one I have on my phone. This app gives you an azimuth and time for rising and falling locations and provides an altitude at the zenith.

The other night we saw one go overhead at 86 degrees. Pretty cool, you can see a distinct rectangular shape with a pair of x8 long eyes. Space people flying by two hundred and fifty miles away!

Enjoy!

Here is another good site, from NASA. You can set alerts for when to look.

I just bought a telescope that has eypieces giving up 700 power. I'll be able to see the whites of their teeth as they are peering down at us.
