Videos of some guy on a deserted island all alone

I found this thru Outside Magazine. They had an article of one of there employees being dropped of on a deserted island and stranded for 3 weeks. Pretty good videos and story......Castaway | Outside Online

Pffff!!

This should be called "an idiot on an island."

Why can't he start a simple fire? He probably should have boned up on outdoor survival before going on the assignment. You'd think working at that magazine he would know something or another about being "Outside."

I'm surprised he made it. There are so many things he did poorly. Wow...

And he used a shoelace to try and start a fire?? They should have thrown him in there naked so he could have done it one of the other right ways. Plus, he could have worked on his cordage skills. Man... it was painful to watch this guy.

I thought I saw Richard Hatch in the background in the fourth episode.

He should have taken apart the video camera and used the lens to magnify the sun onto some kindling to start a fire.

But he was too busy setting up wide shots and cutaways. I wonder how many battery packs he had with him to keep the camera charged...?

I was going to watch, but since I can't stand watching idiots in action...I think I'll pass.
Thanks for the warning.
