pirate VIDEO- A River, A Kayak, 3 Days down the AL Choctawhatchee

Sailor hear who is venturing into a little kayaking.

Between the cold, the rain and the sun, I just finished my first river kayaking camping trip and it was a blast.

Took my time to try to make a good quality video and I really like the way it turned out. Hope you enjoy!

Re: VIDEO- A River, A Kayak, 3 Days down the AL Choctawhatchee

My interest in cruising grew out of a passion for expedition canoeing and kayaking. My last kayak trip was a 36-day sea kayak trip in Australia, though we sailed the kayak more than paddle it. Looking for the next step was what spawned my interest in sailing.

Looking back now, it's interesting to compare the two. While I certainly appreciate the higher level of luxury and father off cruising grounds a sailboat affords, I do miss the simplicity, closeness and affordability that came with canoeing and kayaking.

Glad you had a good trip, and great video. No reason to choose one or the other when you can enjoy both.
