True.

You could continue to choose the blue pill or the red pill. I choose my own path thank you and I don't complain about your outcomes.

Re: USA National Elections

Who was it that complained about voter suppression??

I hung around a while watching and NOT ONE person had a problem showing a valid picture ID, NOT ONE PROBLEM!!

Looks like we only suppressed illegal votes

Re: USA National Elections

If you don't vote you lose the moral high ground of being able to complain. Since we are LOVE to complain be sure you are rooted well for later regardless of the outcome.

Re: USA National Elections

as far as i can see it really doesn't matter if you vote or not,,,or who wins.

at 16 trillion debt and counting there is going to be a serious upheaval in the near future, your vote will only decide who brings it on sooner...........

Re: USA National Elections

From the movie Swing Vote but something to think about!

It's been real interesting.
I've said a lot of things I didn't mean. and you both made a lot of promises... you probablywon't be able to keep.

To be honest, the last 10 dayshave felt like a weird dream. What was once kinda funny, isn't anymore.

From what I've read, I've... well, I've scaredthe hell out of America. I know that the world is watching, maybe even laughing. people on my own TV,are saying... that America, somehow, deserves this moment.

Guess that means me. I can't say that I've been much of anything most of my life.
It's sorta like somewherealong the way... I checked out and it's not likeI had big dreams to begin with. but I had something once.
I had something close to faith or hope or whatever... whatever word you wantto use for how good life could be.

But then, the years start moving quicker and all of a sudden... what's going good out there for every else... isn't going so good for you.
But, tonight I feel... embarrassed. I've had my chances, more than most. I've grown upin a country where... if I decided to do more with my life than just drift and drink... that I could be standing where...where maybe you stand tonight.
Instead, I've taken freely and I've given nothing. I'm ashamed in front of my...daughter.
And my country. I've never served or sacrificed. The only heavy lifting I've been asked is simple stuff, like... pay attention. Vote...
For America has a... if America has a true enemy tonight,I guess it's me.
Tonight a below average man is goingto choose between two exceptional men.
Tomorrow, one man's vote is going to make a difference...
'Cause tomorrow we're gonna have a President.
And not just someoneto fill a chair in Washington.
We need someonewho's bigger than their speeches.
The kind of Presidentwe learned about in school.America needs a big thinker.
You know, like a giant, really.
Someone who has the good sense to get in front of our problems.somebody who has the wisdomto lead to us a place... where we're at peace with ourselves and the world.

Re: USA National Elections

This "if you don't vote you have no claim to complain" bizzo is galling.

Voting doesn't make a difference...if it did, a) things would turn out different and b) it would therefore be illegal. It's a shell game, and it's a travesty because it rorts me whether I play or not. Joining in merely lends credibility to a farce. This is merely my opinion. Thank you everyone for expressing yours...if it offends me beyond my patience, I stop my ears, not your mouth.

Well that seems to just be a defeated attitude. The votes matter, they get counted, and just because you don't always like the outcome doesn't make the system a shell game!

Given, all you have to do is renounce your citizenship and move to somewhere else. You already have this right so I don't understand what is stopping you.

You have the option to leave the US, it's called cruising. May I suggest you excersize that option.
Just don't bitch about conditions outside the US.

George W Bush won the state of FL and so his first election by 537 votes.

Voting does make a difference.

I opt to cruise and wait for the political system to fail in which case the people can regain the lands and truly live free.

Today I voted at the ballot box, and every day for the rest of the year I vote with my wallet.
