It is a joke because he has sailed with me on my boat. Just one of those internet forum miscommunication things in this case (I think).

Connecticut, maybe even New York! Or could head north to Maine as they pronounce things different! At least it is on MY boat and not someone else's.

But you better watch yourself not everyone is in on the joke.

Re: Unintentionally humourous vessel names

I'm not sure if it is intentional, but there is a trailer sailer near here called Passing Wind.
There is also a local 1/2 tonner - a quick little boat, called Half Hearted... and everybody calls it "who farted?" haha.

Wife and I do a lot of daysailing.
When we purchased our Dragonfly, I wanted to call it "Afternoon Delight", but the wife nixed that one real quickly...

Married 42 years tomorrow.

This had to be billionaire / sailor Larry Ellison's boat, which I used to see in San Francisco. "IZANAMI" is named after a Shinto diety (Ellison has a thing for Japanese culture). He has since renamed the vessel "Ronin", no doubt to avoid the Nazi references.

Re: Unintentionally humourous vessel names

Dunno about boat names but I heard of a race horse called 'My Face' The owner named it so for a joke, just so he could hear all the women punters down at the winning post shouting 'Come on My Face'

Why did I lower the tone and tell you that? Hell, its a true story so I figgered why not, im not taking the blame, just sayin.........
