Maybe after you are left with a few pennies to buy a basic boat try sailing to Malaysia or Thailand? Just make sure you check the "tackle" and avoid the hot headed ones who are just as happy to sever yours.

anyways, i too have been disallusioned to the LEGAL document/contract aspect of marriage and would lke to say I will never get MARRIED again, but, I wont rule it out if and when i find a partner and she really REALLY wants it, I would be wiling to do anything for her, at least i hope i would... but other then that, i would hope she would be similarly motivated in pleasing me and or similar to me in our beliefs of the 'institution' of marriage

It's bad enough that you dont even need to be married to get legal status, but whatever it is .. it is...

I could share some awful tales of my own life and love gone bad. But I won't, because I refuse to dwell there. I've pulled up anchor from those places. I have realized how my own mistakes led me to them, and foolishly repeated them before having learned the lessons. Then finally experiencing a moment of reckoning. I took responsibility for my choices, I have only myself to blame for my choices. I've put them to rest, forgave myself first, and then others, and I made the choice to move forward. There are just as many, if not more, fond memories to dwell upon

Would I trade my history? I'm tempted to say that yes I'd rather had been wiser sooner. But without that history I'd be very vanilla and not quite the person I've become. I love the person I've become.

I say to each their own and live and let be. We all have our own choices to make and should know what's in our own best interest and in the best interest of the ones we love and care for.

Take life's hardships as you would a passing storm and then turn your face toward the sun once it's past. Because resentment, bitterness, distrust and lack of faith is very unattractive on any ones soul. It's not a recipe for a happy and successful life either.

i think some are dwelling on that issue that you brought it up again... i gues it is safe to say that most dont cre, and or that this isnt the best 'thread' to bring it up again..

yes, it is an arbitrary position to take, and frankly I wouldnt have responded, as i have already done so in the other trhead... but maybe some didnt see that thread or they did, I dont know.. but obvioulsy it is probably best to drop that issue for a bit until a more direct discussion is held..???

Advantages:

1 - We're better looking
2 - We have more stamina
3 - We're more fun (I guess at least till your next batch of kids come along.....)

What a traitor to you sex! LOL. Now if you had said some of us are better looking, some of us have more stamina and some of us are more fun, I could agree. But come on - people are individuals. I'm way fun, and no risk of more kids!!

1 - they're higher maintenance
2 - they're more demanding
3 - your have to pay for your fun, one way or another
