Sounds good, but could be rather expensive.

Yep.

I think I will keep mine, so she can help me buy a younger boat.

Before doing any trade, one must ascertain the difference in value between what one is trading away and what one is trading in. In other words, is one trading up or trading down.

If the trade is seriously unequal, then one may stuggle to pay the difference or one may be quietly pleased with the influx of resources.

Of course, the danger of any trade is that one mistakenly places too high a value on what one wants to trade in and low value on what one wants to trade out. Consequently some time after the trade, one may be stuck with paying out a significant amount plus coming to terms with the realisation that one was better off previously. Then the trick is do another trade or two or three to rectify the deficiencies in the trade just completed. Thus, after some time, one can be back where one started or hopefully better off.

Highly recommended. However it is not entirely necessary to get the younger model. One can get along just fine hitching rides when necessary.

When she turned 50 I offered to trade her in on two 25 year olds. She offered to remove my testicles.

Why trade at all? Why not go it alone?
