That's a tough one to watch. That boat was in the wrong spot period.
Maybe should have put it more up river or in a better covered mooring. Maybe tied it to a few trees onshore.

The only thing I could learn from that is compassion for insurance companies. It would appear the owner could have cared less about his boat. One line going to a mooring with very little scope. I would guess he spent 15 extra minutes getting ready for the hurricane.
