Favorite vessel name (from a J24, back in the days of racing on Sydney Harbour) that always springs to mind...

Ahhh, thank you for that! The thread gave me a big smile... I looked around briefly for the best place to post the pic and settled on the jokes topic, completely missed the boat names thread. Anyway, glad to know about it.

My personal favorites so far:
Yachta, yachta, yachta
Never again II

And its sister boat, sailing on on Botany Bay....

Far Kurnell

For those who are not familiar with the topography, Sydney Harbour is about 25km from Botany Bay, and Kurnell is a suburb on the shoreline, the place where Cook landed in 1770.

Re: The New Joke Thread

I still like AFTIKA. I chartered a Gemini with that name when I was first serious about a cat I could afford.

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"
