The Mallorca Squad

So far, I canceled my 'hire Cat' for March. ( A friends Cat which I take out for costs). I need to be here till beginning of April so I can cope with the avalanche of requests to move into the clinic... er Ok.. two so far. The sad thing about defering the visit is that the Cat will not be available for another 6 months as it will be used for himself and family..... how selfish can a person get!

I dont have many seminar dates booked thus far in Europe so will need to push.... I might get a 2 week slot in April to go to Mallorca for a break but nothing concrete. Kenomac and mrs O'mac is out in Sardinia in May and Praire Chicken and Spouse may be in Mallorca in 3rd quarter of the year.

We will have to have a formal committee meeting in a month or so to see the definites....... perhaps even invite new club members.......

I will get on with designing a Club name and Burgee...

Given our current situation (see photos) I'm thinking forward. We will be available for a meetup for much of June & the first half of July. If anyone is around Mallorca then, let me know here.

By the way, that's 2-3" of solid ice on our driveway ... and it's not melting much yet.

Looking ahead til summer, the two of us will be in the Med most of the time between June 1 until Oct 9. Anyone interested in a more exotic meeting place on our boat in July at D'Elba or Corsica for a few days? From Mallorca you might just be a 30-40 euro commuter flight away.

Arenal! Ah yes, an interesting place. Good marina; terrible town. The clubhouse restaurant is pretty good though, and there is a good lamb restaurant on the water street just off the marina's street. The pool is lovely and right beside the only coin laundry machines around--almost the only ones to be found on the island!
