Re: The Mallorca Squad

It's true. Now we shall all seek normalcy in entertainment. The antics have moved from the fringe to the center. Is it any wonder that they are offering Ken unlimited overtime? Or perhaps more likely it's a plot by the pajama people to keep him on the inside.

Re: The Mallorca Squad

What does Richard Branson do when deciding what boat to have? He has a catamaran built.

Re: The Mallorca Squad

Did he really? If so, it's conceivable we'll see it around the Balearics. I'd heard he'd gotten authority to build a luxury resort on his land in the NE of the island.

Re: The Mallorca Squad

Where are you these days Weavis? We're here sweltering in the heat. We had to come back in for more agua and provisions (done), and to clean boat (nearly done). Gotta get back on the sea where it is cooler!

We sere in your old neighbourhood a couple of weeks ago, peacefully at anchor on a sunny Sunday morning, when we had a bit of an incident. We got side-swiped by a Lagoon 450! That was a first, and there was no reason for it other than "distracted driving". The land breeze had us facing East, and the cat was going West coming out of the anchorage, and he looked down, "just for a moment" to check his plotter, and he glanced off our s/b beam. Thankfully he wasn't 6 or 8' to his right! Anyhow, the other skipper came back, admitted fault, and apologized profusely. My OH and I had been sitting in the cockpit so fortunately weren't knocked around when he hit, but I've got to say seeing the high freeboard of that cat about 4' away and closing was a bit of a shock! We were all shocked when we looked to see how bad the damage was and found none on our hull! Only later did it occur to me that our toe rail is the widest part of our boat and sure enough we found his paint in the toe rail, but still no apparent damage. I suspect the cat's hull took the damage. Yes, it was a charter boat.

Stay safe, y'all!
