For any of you who ever wonder how or why things get done, or don't, in the Latin countries .... this is a perfect example. It explains perfectly the discrepancies between the different names for the same towns on Mallorca.

Edited to add: I suppose we should be pleased their weapon of choice are vowels and nothing more dangerous.
