And what about shoe shopping? You'll go insane. You've been here before. Girls like shoe shopping. You'll be spending all your dayz running from one Guccy Prahda Fendi Zanotti store to another, never a sail amore.
That's the first thing I noted too SM!

But... Surely they will be off more than on with this new relationship???

Re: The Mallorca Squad

Weather is beautiful here. Actually its not but compared to the UK its like a summer. Going to go do a boat check tomorrow and get ready for a one day sail.
I love this Island.

Re: The Mallorca Squad

Had a great day!
We sailed about 30 miles and found this great restaurant. So we partook..and partook and continued to partake of the hospitality and the vino and the food.
Sometime in the late evening, we found where we had berthed and hit the hammocks.

It was quet for coffee this morning.....

We left the boat there and took cabs to our different destinations and will pick it up later in the week and continue the sail

Oh man... such fun and laughter.

some of our other friends joined us post sail including Johns wife. She is Spanish. I told her that my novio was coming to the Island over new year. She just said, "that will be nice"....
I asked her later that evening why one of the waiters who was gay kept smiling at me and blowing kisses...
They all broke down laughing. Seems in my merry state I had confused Novio with novia... Novio being the word for boyfriend....

Buggers let it lie......................

I think the waiter was disappointed when he was told.

HAHAHAHA! This is why English is the only language of choice.

Next time go around with a bunch of monkeys and you will be safe from whisker kisses

Yea... You gotta watch that gender shiznit... It can get ya in trouble !

(poor waiter)

And don't count on SM's primate preferences for drinking mates... No way to verify gender in this pool... Could be a double whammy...

Re: The Mallorca Squad

So today, mi amigos head off to Granada for a well earned vacation, I on the other hand will be forced to stay here and eat good food and drink and endure a visit from the noviA over the new year.

I also will have to fit in a trip in the Cat from Palma to Porto Colom at some stage, and then visit eating establishments there............

The injustice!

@ weavis I hate it when you post these photos of delicious meals. My screen now has chunks of spit and bland oatmeal from tongue licks.

Re: The Mallorca Squad

I am posting a link as a gift to all of you for Christmas. If at all possible this Christmas eve, take 30 minutes & listen to a classic: The Shepherd - Frederick Forsyth - read by Alan Maitland from CBC Radio. It's aviation rather than marine, but there are a few pilots on here and regardless, it's poetry. Plus, if there are any old radio buffs, you would enjoy it too. Listening to this is a Christmas Eve tradition for me, and it always chokes me up.

Merry Christmas to all!

Re: The Mallorca Squad

Thank you Praire! F F is one of my favourite authors.

To all the people of CF that contributed to a better life by knowing them, Thank you. To those that have had some struggles that I could help with, It was my deepest pleasure to be there for you.

For those who know of the difficulties faced in the last 12 months and offered words of wisdom and support, you are simply the best.

Mostly to all who love boats in whatever capacity, thank you for your words of experience and knowledge.

TO my Mallorca Colleagues, Praire and Ken plus spouses, it has been a pleasure to know you. Salty Monkey has been added to the squad by proxy.

To my friends Boatie and atoll, Ive enjoyed watching your daily life unfold through boat building and voyages.

To the moderator team, a hard job at times but someone has to do it.

To Seaworthy and Noelex- a pleasure knowing you.

To AVB3 - One of the best.

To the Cates, exile, minaret and countless others, your experience and willingness to share has been a delight to experience.

To those not mentioned, it does not imply a lack of affection or worth on your part, it merely means that I have to pee urgently and this is where I sign off and post.......

Thanks people.

Have a great time.
