It must be from the all that cheery weather in weavy land, having to lock himself inside all day will drive anyone to smell the finger.

hmm. More like proper stabilisers that stop monos from leaning. Monos have to have all that underwater weight and length to counteract wind forces and yet still wobble and bob in harbours... it has a technical name...... ah yes I remember, a design fault........

Elba 34 degrees today, no wind but feels cooler here on the agua. For those who don't speak European, that's about 94 degrees North American.

Had a nice lunch with Hetty and Ron, and heading back for supper in a bit aboard their 65ft Outer Reef Trawler. Very nice. Mrs. Pammymac asking lots of trawler questions today.

Your sailing days are numbered. I had large M/B's for a while...... apart from fuel costs, lovely!

Expensive week in one way or another. My GPS puck doesnt work on windows 8.1 so will have to order a couple of those as well for the OpenCPN.

That trawler can have an affect on even the stanchest of us sailors. I think you were talking trawler too weren't you Ken? What you think?

Re: The Mallorca Squad

The trawler is awesome, but we don't have 1.5 million dollars to buy that particular Outer Reef 65. If I was offered a straight exchange, our boat for a comparable 55ft trawler.... It would be difficult to say no.

We're not really into the whole long voyage, sailing offshore game. We like being somewhere, many different somewheres..... Not so much the getting there part.

Re: The Mallorca Squad

I hear you on the getting there part Ken. That has always been a big factor for us as my OH simply wasn't interested in crossings. On that boat though, they make it look easy.

Where you to?

Le Grazie near La Spezia, Italy. Heading back to Elba early Sunday, then onto Southern Corsica Monday, Portisco, Sardinia on Tuesday.

Re: The Mallorca Squad

Ken, you need to get Pam buying one-way tickets so she can leave you & the boat from different ports.
