After one day in the fridge it's just OK, second day, the consistency is a little soggy, by the third day the stuff has the consistency in my mouth of flem and tastes like mush.... I spit it out. This from a meat which costs over 50 euros per kilo.

What am I doing wrong?

Jamon is meant to be kept on the bone and not refrigerated. Once you cut into slices, it has to be consumed within a day. Best way to buy it is a block of meat, wrap in newspaper and keep cool. Cut off what you want. It will last a bit longer.

The other thing...... you are not eating Jamon from Spain. The Spanish meat will last a whole heap longer, you are eating an Italian type which doesnt last......

I would suggest going vegan and buying a few bananas. The pesticides, radiation, and carcinogens in those preservatives will make your brain into mush.

Thus spoke SaltyMonkey, hey that's me!

Re: The Mallorca Squad

As you can see, the Tri has departed my care. Buddy came home earlier than expected and we met at the berth and he moved it to his his berth. I had done a polish job and had the outboard engine serviced as a thank you for letting me play in his absence. He will also find a box of wine in the berth. I didnt leave it on purpose, I forgot they were there.

What did I learn from the trimaran given that I was never keen on small racing Cats or tri's?

I learned that they are quick. 28 foot of accelerating and sustaining joy. Tri's lean a bit more that Cats. You have to watch them more closely and let go if in doubt. They are really Monos with floats. I missed the space on a Cat. I missed the "Catmosphere"......

It was really liked. I mean really. But........

I like having my interior space separated into hulls. I like a wide cabin. There is an ethos about a Cat configuration that even small 24 cats have. I could live on a 28 Cat very easily and space to spare. On the Tri, i was packing carefully.

Horses for courses and men for horses.

YAY! Weavis! You at least went sailing and did it in an unusual way. More than I can say for many boat owners here. Monkeys excluded
