Salty, will you be joining the ranks of poor boat owners this year?

Re: The Mallorca Squad

When are you putting back in the water Ken?

When I take the boat out, there is inspection of the Seacocks and a full maintenance of them.........Last time I left them open a little.

Prior to going back in, a full check and testing takes place. Once boat is in...... I run round all of them for a day checking....... A wimp that way Im afraid.

I really hate holes in boats.

Re: The Mallorca Squad

Back in on June 11. Seacocks are made of Marilon and get lubed with silicon grease a day or two before. 15 of the 22 skin fittings and seacocks were replaced last season.

Re: The Mallorca Squad

We were hanging out in Santa Ponsa bay & just got back to port this morning after three nites out. I went for the first swim of the year in 22.9 C water. I should have taken a buried-Rocna photo for Noelex but hadn't gotten the SJCAM fired up yet.

We had to come back in for another visit to Palma Planas this pm. Still no joy in that department.

The boat is working well, the wx is perfect, the wine fine. Our friends next door should be back today so I imagine there will be a lot of over-the-lifelines visiting. Canadian friends arrive next week to rejoin their trawler which we were all on last winter in St. Vincent & the Grenadines. More wine, more visiting, possibly sailing with the trawler.

Summer--hot, stable wx--had arrived before we did. There seem to be more yachts on the water earlier this year. Our friendly yacht broker tells me business is finally picking up a bit. There seem to be more cats than ever before. Our first afternoon out we saw the Aduanas anchored right at Palma Nova. I hear the instances of pick-pocket crimes are up, especially in supermarkets. Overall, situation normal on Mallorca.

Let us know if you're coming this way weavis. Anyone else in the neighborhood?

Re: The Mallorca Squad

Well, currently in negotiations for a Seville seminar later this year. Times are hard and money is hard got for Spanish people. If it happens, will be taking extra time and heading on over the Mallorca for a stay.

Hope Praire and hubby are enjoying the weather and getting things sorted out for their comfort and well being.

Hope Mr and Mrs KEnoMAC and friends are having a great time in Sardinia. One day we will all have a big meetup with lots of our CF buddies coming in for the occasion. Even get Salty Monkey to fly in.......
