The fun thing about gps...

Most everyone has had the unsettling experience of sailing 'over' land using a GPS chart. Small misalignments, maybe a channel being a few yards off or something.

A friend took this photo while driving in California...

On the internet, nobody knows you're a dog anchored in a coral atoll.

He should make a left turn. Doesn't he know that when reality and chart differ, one should always trust the chart?
On the way back to Sweden.

I did a contrary thing once - sailed using "dryland" TomTom GPS & paper charts.
It worked fine ! since that time I am in doubt about chartplotter necessity on board
