I'm fairly new to yachting, so I am not too familiar with the fleet here.

I could not find any twin keel boats in boatpoint.com.au which is one of the larger online trading sites.

What length are you looking for?

I did a google to check, and only found 2:

There is a 48' in Auckland for $125,000:

I am not an expert, but there may be less need for twin keels in Sydney.
Tidal range in only 2m max, so no resting on mudbanks or sandbanks.
No shallow areas like Moreton Bay or the Barrier Reef.

The first ones I really looked at were colvins,UK production twinies.They seem to range from 26' upwards.I realise their a tidal necesity in the UK and probably the reason they are popular over that way.I just like the thought of being able to beach them whenever you need to.The cheapest I've seen up this way was 60 something thou,on yachthub.

When Im ready to purchase a boat Im deffinately gonna look hard for one.Thanks anyway.Mudnut.

Yeah,right Mike.

Only trouble is ,the ones I like are WAY OUT of my price range.I want to pay cash and own my boat outright.It dosn't really take much to make me happy,but I won't go into debt for anything.Mudnut.
