Stolen Dinghy

My 7 1/2 ft origami aluminium dinghy was stolen from Comox thursday night . The lock or chain was cut.It has a lexan window in the stern and is quite distinct. It has a chine amidships and conic ends.
I suspect the rednecks in the area, who do whatever possible to make cruising visitors feel unwelcome. The Wharfinger also makes visitors feel unwelcome. Friends have had the same experience. Give Comox a miss when cruising thru.
Send me an email if you see it on the BC coast , and get a description of the person using it and the boat name.
Thanks
Brent

That really sucks, Brent. Sorry to hear it. On the upside, it is the only one of its kind, right? Good luck to whoever is trying to get away with it. Hopefully someone who reads this will spot them.

I can't help much from where I am, but I'd help you go and get it back.

Sorry to hear that. How often does this happen. By this i mean any violation of a boat. I'm sure it has alot to do with location. Is there other locations to be avoided? Should you be concerned when leaving your boat for any period of time?

Where in Comox are you berthed (Blackfin, Comox Bay, Municipal ...)?
Would your advice apply to all of Comox, or just your specific location?
