Sticky Stuff

Utterly non-boat question ... but it does have to do with things that float, so I figured I'd shoehorn it in . Here goes:
My kids have a bunch of those floaty ducks for the bathtub. But, they keep squeezing water up inside, through the hole in the bottom. Then black mold grows inside. Once I kill the mold (easy) and get all the water out (moderately harder) -- is there an adhesive I could seal off that hole with? It needs to be flexible, so it won't crack free and drop out when they play with the things, and of course not water-soluble. And pretty thick, so it will stay in the hole and not run out all over the place before it sets.

Any suggestions?

Cut a small hole on the tip of a tube of silicone and fill those ducks up! It won't turn rock hard when it sets and it won't run out while drying.

Re: Sticky Stuff

Rather than wasting all sorts of silicone filling the ducks, just use either that or 4200 and seal up the hole. I used 4200 to seal up a 'dryer ball' that I'd filled with BB weights and it's been working for several years now

Well, obviously that's gonna be marine silicone, even a girly girl can see that. But why on earth would you want to fill those holes up? You rotten spoil sport - don't do it! Apart from anything else, if you fill the holes, they'll never quack again.

If you were my Dad, and you killed the quack on my ducks (and stopped me being able to squirt water out of them), I'd probably stop thinking you were the perfect dad any more.

I agree , very bad form , OP run a bit of Milton through them now and again. Anyway a bit of black mould never did anyone harm. !!

I agree with Saucy. If one of the kids is a girl, when she's 17 she'll find the grungiest, nastiest, most vile person she can, and have his baby to get back at you!!!!
