St. Augustine paddle wheel boat
I believe her name is Jean Mary, and she is from St. Augustine. She has been berthed behind me in Green Cove Springs since winter. She has been listing all this time from port to strbrd, and back again. Finally she sank last night. Causing a huge spill of fuel. I woke up with police, firemen, and water sheriff's all over the place. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me. It was a very sad sight to see her laying there on her side like that!

Last night when I arrived at the marina. There was a huge barge with a huge crane on the barge. The has already set straps under, and in a few minutes she was in the slings. Then towed slowly behind the barge to a work area in another part of the marina.
I was also told that she had been recently sold, and was going to leave the dock this past Monday. Looks like she will be brought back to life soon. |
