Re: So, you catch a mouse on a sticky tray-then what?

If you cant stand the thought of instantaneous humane death such as the hammer method, then I would drown it. Death for such a fast metabolism would only be about a minute. Suffocation by putting it in a Ziplock bag I think is too long and therefore too inhumane

Re: So, you catch a mouse on a sticky tray-then what?

This stuff isnt like stick tape its well. I caught a mouse on one and thought I would pull it off uhh nooo. I would have dismembered it right there tugging on it. No way your pulling a critter off ts stuff. I gassed it with CO2 from a tank used to freeze pipes.
The industrial version is a tray filled with the stickey goo. I was going to use the remaining goop as bedding compound but then envisioned a sorted community of mice rats etc... glued to and nibbling at my stantion bases chainplates and padeyes. plastic bag and pack it around the body suffocates them pretty quick if you dont have a tank of co2.

Do you know someone with a pet snake?

Catch a few mice, paint a number on them and bet on which one is the last to be eaten.

Mouse Lotto!

You get rid of your pests, feed someones pet, and maybe win some money for that new GPS.

You better be checking that trap often.

I had one of those in a cabin, and it was left unattended for 2 weeks.

Came back, trap was full of mice, only one was alive, feasting on the others.

I had no idea mice were cannibalistic before that.

Hmmm,

Live, unencumbered mouse in your Tin Cat trap? REmember that jerk who anchored on top of you, ran his gen set all night, howled at the moon, played acid rock at a million decibels and so on? Well, maybe you can find his boat at its mooring/berth... a nice home for your mouse? Well, maybe...

Cheers,

Jim

He was just being a mouse. And usually plenty of rum around

This is also my preference for subduing large and wiley fishes. Works almost instantly with a spray or two into the gills.

Wifey/partner see no Beady eyes looking at them and every cooking show teaches them that freezing animals is HUMANE!!!!

Freeze the mouse? In the freezer? You mean, put the mouse inside the freezer...?

Oh no, my friend.

No, no, no!

Good god, in heaven, NO! I'm in enough trouble.

Lol... that reminds of the sh!t I was in when I put a pronghorn head in the freezer before I could get it to the taxidermists from my ex-wife (maybe that is why she is my ex???).

I forgot to warn her, and when she opened the freezer, yeah, I heard about it!
