Single Sailors Talk Relationships

Thought I'd start a thread strictly about relationships, finding that one true love, or die trying .

Yes, I am happily married now and therefore should butt out, but have a little heart for a ocean girl who wants to see everyone (who wants a mate) find their perfect mate.

So lets make the other already ongoing ssssm thread about everyday interactions, and goofing off, and lets make this thread about relationships.

We can vent about how it seems impossible to find a mate in such an unlikely way as the Internet, secluded anchorages, and out of the way places.

We can tell encouraging stories of how some have found love and sailing adventures.

We can philosophize about modern love verses traditional.

PLEASE lets keep it about relationships.

To any new folks who are single and looking for a long term relationship we have a Single Sailors Seeking Soul Mate social group here at CF ```feel free to join!

HUGS TO YOU ALL

Re: Single Sailors Talk Relationships

All of that sounds very romantic. I found my fiance (a friend from teen years) on facebook a few years ago and couldn't be happier, so I know it can work.

I bought a boat about 11 months ago with the intention of living a cruising life and moved out of our house three months ago (temporarily) to learn how to liveaboard.

I read another gentleman's comments on a different thread about choosing his boat and the cruising life over his wife and I wonder how many men (or woman) would consider sailing off alone if their wife wanted a different kind of life.

Re: Single Sailors Talk Relationships

Live far from water with no water people around, but have cruised with a few wonderful women. The problem is always the distance. If you have a job which makes relocating difficult, it's hard to overcome that reality.

Re: Single Sailors Talk Relationships

New to this thread.
Am an older gentleman. Semi-retired, In Louisiana...own my boat outright. A bit reticent, a good listener and a voracious reader. Really need a cruising partner...
